Venue & Area
Over the course of wedding planning, we toured exactly one venue. As
most of you know, Andrew and I moved to upstate New York this year
for a job opportunity. We packed everything up, left Brooklyn behind
(for now), and started exploring what upstate New York had to offer.
Initially, we thought we'd put wedding planning on the backburner
until we'd had a chance to settle in. But one night, while browsing
Reddit, Andrew stumbled upon Seven Ponds Farm. One look was all it
took.
Seven Ponds Farm is a real, working farm located about an hour from
Albany, NY, and just 45 minutes from our new home in Cooperstown.
Perched on the highest plot of land in Summit, the views stretch for
miles and are absolutely breathtaking. Outside the farmhouse,
there's a spring-fed pond that's safe for swimming—a perfect spot to
unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
